The National Waterbug Blitz Training Survey

This survey is part of a research project conducted by Federation University Australia and the Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation (CeRDI) titled 'Investigating the influence of volunteer characteristics on the quantity and quality of citizen science participation'. By participating in this research, you will help with our planning and development of the 'Blitz' to maximise its potential for waterway research and management and to ensure the project is enjoyed and valued by all participants.

This short questionnaire will ask about your experience with our training events and for general information about yourself (age, gender etc.). It should only take 5-10 minutes.

You can be assured of complete anonymity and you will not be identified at any point in the research process. The focus of the data collection and analysis is on the aggregated characteristics of program participants rather than on details specific to you personally.

Your participation in this research is voluntary and you are free at any time up until and while completing the surveys to withdraw your participation, without explanation. There are no consequences for withdrawing from this research. You may also choose not to respond to all questions in the survey, just answer the questions you are comfortable with.  If you choose to participate in this research, your consent is assumed through the completion and submission of the surveys and in the provision of your first name and email contact.

If you require further information, or require support regarding your participation in this project, please contact Patrick Bonney via email (p.bonney@federation.edu.au). Otherwise, read the Plain Language Information Statement that was sent to you via email. For additional enquires about the 'Blitz' please visit our website: www.waterbugblitz.org.au

Thank you!
